Some good news for Heritage Hills. A new landscaping company is coming! 💐

The Metro District board held a special meeting this morning to review and vote on transitioning landscaping services to a local company led by Leigh and her team, who many of you may remember from their combined 12 years managing Heritage Hills. The goal is to have the neighborhood looking significantly better before July 4th weekend. 🇺🇸

A few things worth noting. The proposal was available at Friday's board meeting but was not voted on then. At this morning's meeting, the board approved up to $100,000 to be spent on landscaping before the next board meeting on July 10th, which raises a natural question about the total scope of this contract.

In Colorado, contracts over $120,000 are required to go out for multiple competitive bids. One board member voted no, citing concern about the process.
